New: The Best Book Club

The Best Book Club is premiering in January 2023. Following the 2022 Nordic Business Forum live stream event that was arranged in collaboration with WTC Turku, Turku Science Park and Visitor and Innovation Centre Joki, we’re now proud to announce a new way of learning, networking, and having fun in 2023: The Best Book Club.
In the last NBF, did you regret not having read any of the books that the speakers had written? This time, you’ll have no such regrets! The Best Book Club will be reading the key books from NBF 2023 during the spring and summer. And not only reading but discussing them as well since we’ll be meeting every second month to share thoughts about the books.

The 2023 NBF will be again streamed in Turku in September. The same way as we did in 2022, in between the inspiring presentations, we take calls, attend Teams-meetings and answer emails – unless we’re networking with like-minded people. Attending the NBF live stream does not mean that you’ll be off work. It means that you’ll be working remotely in a unique setting and among fantastic people.

But let’s get back to the Book Club! Although we don’t know what the speakers at the Nordic Business Forum will be talking about, we want to get to know them a bit better in advance. Since NBF takes place in English, the book club is in English as well – however, if the books are available in other languages, you are free to select another version as well. Also, depending on the participants at any book club meeting, we’ll select the suitable language.

In February, we’ll meet to discuss: Rebel Talent: Why It Pays to Break the Rules at Work and in Life by Francesca Gino
In April, we’ll meet to discuss: The Six Types of Working Genius: A Better Way to Understand Your Gifts, Your Frustrations, and Your Team by Patrick Lencioni
In June, we’ll meet to discuss: The Genesis Machine: Our Quest to Rewrite Life in the Age of Synthetic Biology by Amy Webb

Register now as a member, it’s free, of course but everyone will take care of arranging the reading materials themselves. The times and locations of the meetings will be communicated to the registered book club members later on.
